Barbara Jean — Juggler Extraordinaire!

Whew!  What a time it’s been!  What with all the cocktail parties and brunches to attend, never mind the time it takes to get the dress just so and the hat perched at the right angle,  it’s amazing a girl finds time to write with all the flirting & fetching glances.

Beyond telling a story, there is a sometimes overwhelming amount of work to support the vision of where the stories can go.  There’s a couple of interested parties still considering the first novel, more agents, publishers, etc to query, contests to enter, chatting up with other writers and groups to learn about and share promotion, plans for a killer website in the works, and then the e-publishing angle which is looking intriguing.  Also, I am pleased to announce the first query rejection was handled with a mere whimper, sigh and onto the next!

And yes, the second book has been started, with a plot now outlined that is a little bit of a twisty, turny ride.  Once it was reconciled that a peach of a girl had to die to make the story, it became interesting.

Stay tuned for more Poppy Cove news!

Toodles,

Barbara Jean
