Hi there, guys and dolls! Are you having fun yet? Well, I have to admit I’m having a blast! Whether I’m right or wrong, I know I’m happy. Talking about it may jinx it, but I am willing to take the risk and share the joy. Care to join me?
Although there are some times when the naysayers come along in the form of grumpy guts who don’t catch on to the swinging social set of Poppy Cove’s Santa Lucia, (so sorry to those who have lost a sense of fun on their way of life, my good mood and joie de vivre was not meant to personally tick you off), I feel blessed to hear that there are so many who enjoy toddling in our in-crowd’s world. New acquaintances and old friends alike seem to be popping up daily, with a kick in their step and lilt in their voices, asking when is the next book coming, sharing their personal affection for our people, their inquisitive minds wanting to know what’s in store for Daphne, Margot and the rest of the girls. Rest assured, fellow readers, we are hard at work on the second installment with one more major scene and a couple of other minor diversions to record before we give it another go over and then send it off to Patricia Rockwell, our editor and publisher at Cozy Cat Press, where she will work her magic to complete our vignette of how things went terribly, terribly wrong for dear, sweet Miss Santa Lucia.
Andrea and Heather have so much fun writing as me, the happy-go-lucky Barbara Jean. They banter, laugh, chatter and have the occasional libation, clicking away at the keys with Chet Baker, Tony Bennett, Nina Simone and many others of the era filling out the background, all the while thinking of what will happen in Santa Lucia next and how delighted they are to have the privilege to share it with you.
Toodles,
Barbara Jean Coast
