It Truly is Deluxe Radio!

Warning: side effects of listening to Radio Deluxe may cause you to feel you are at a happening party

Hi there, guys and dolls! Hope your Thursday’s going swingingly. With the weekend right around the corner, it’s time for Barbara Jean’s Raves and Faves. I suggest to you the fantabulously delightful Radio Deluxe, hosted by Jessica Molaskey and John Pizzarelli, one of the most glamorous, amorous couples today. Accomplished musicians all on their own, together they curate that perfect music and confab mix that makes me think of my whole life as one big Happy Hour; cocktails, laughter and peanuts included.

The lovely and talented John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey

Whether the programs are broadcast from the cozy Deluxe Cabin or the stylish Deluxe Living Room high atop Lexington Avenue, the shows are champagne sparkling with the real-life couple’s charming banter between classic tunes from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Mel Torme and Blossom Dearie to modern day instant standards from Norah Jones, Veronica Swift and Jacob Collier. So many, too many in the middle to mention.

Always my listener’s choice

Do yourself a huge favor. Give a listen to the current show and past shows through Mixcloud or their Radio Deluxe website, and if so inclined show your love and support. With all that’s going to hell in a handcart these days, it’s nice to hear when someone’s got it right.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more posts. And don’t forget to give my Poppy Cove Mysteries a try if you haven’t already.

Toodles, Barbara Jean
