Look No Further – Good Books Here!

Hi there, guys and dolls! This week I’m sharing some more of my reviews from some of my favorite authors. Read on, dear friends!FrameChange_ebook_Final_small

FRAME CHANGE by T’Gracie and Joe Reese – Yours truly felt like an international jet setter when reading Frame Change the 5th story in the Nina Bannister Mystery series! The plot line takes readers from Chicago, to little idyllic Bay St Lucy all the way across the Atlantic Ocean to Stuart who is a talented mural artist and amateur sleuth. Second, her creator, also a talented artist and author, Joyce Oroz. The Cuckoo Clock Caper is a suspenseful story that is explosive from the very first page! The morning after the explosion of a house down the street, Jo has a surprise guest sleeping on her couch — a ninety year old man whose sister died as a result of the night’s events. Something suspicious is going on and Josephine means to get to the bottom of the whole darn mess. There’s plenty of work to be getting on with as she has a mural to paint at a gallery, the old man Emmett who needs consoling and protection, a murderer on the loose, Solow the dog and other people in Jo’s life that need her attention. This gal has a romantic partner that’s a keeper as far as yours truly is concerned and he wants to keep her out of danger, but the fact is folks, Jo likes to help people and has a very inquisitive nature, making it a challenge for David. With every twist and turn in the plot you will be on the edge of your seat wondering if Josephine is putting herself, Emmett and the people they love in more danger or getting closer to solving the mystery of the explosion and catching a killer. So make yourself a nice cool beverage and curl up with this fantastic tale of crime, capers, and cuckoo clocks! Aromas and other beautiful destinations described in Josephine’s investigative adventures await your arrival.

TheAccusedArchitect_ebook_finalTHE ACCUSED ARCHITECT by Christian Belz – Yours truly always loves a man who can look at a situation from all the angles and that’s why architect Ken Knoll is my kind of man! Not only is Ken a professional in his field, he’s ready to turn detective when bodies are found on his firm’s construction site. The first body it turns out has disappeared and is nowhere to be found! The second is someone from the firm and what prey tell was she up to? In his first Ken Knoll’s Mystery author Christian Belz has created a character and a story line that is a compelling and suspenseful read taking us on a tour of Detroit otherwise known as the Motor City or Motown. So get yourself ready to rock n’ roll through the pages, learn a thing or two about architecture, murder, restaurants, a bit of romance/dating and what happens when you threaten to uncover the truth. Nothing like a man who plays all the angles to get that engine revving! A chili dog and a cold glass of suds are ready for my next visit.

CIVIC CENTER CORPSE – by Christian Belz My favorite architect/amateur sleuth whoindex looks at all the angles is back and finding trouble in the form of murder in Detroit. After one of the city’s big wigs is found crushed to death under a sign for the new civic center named in his honor, Ken Knolls is on the case. Ken is investigating this case for two reasons, firstly to clear any implications of his firm being responsible and secondly to catch a murderer before they might strike again. Along the way he gets caught up with a movie star, the big wig’s wife, a gossipy on-line scoop reporter who is bent on muck-raking wherever she goes and plenty of danger. Yours truly is a big fan of these mysteries set in the Motor City. Bravo to Christian Belz for once again giving readers a glimpse into the city with a foundation that keeps rebuilding and moving forward. Can’t wait to read the next installment in the Ken Knolls Architectural Mysteries!

GrannySnowsGRANNY SNOWS A SNEAK by Julie Seedorf – Fuchsia, Minnesota’s favorite fashionista/amateur sleuth Hermiony Vidalia Criony Fiddlestadt, otherwise known as Granny, is back and caught up in more murder, mayhem and madcap adventures. Just when everyone thinks she’s retired, Hermiony can’t help but get caught up in the goings on of the little town that she loves so much. Secrets from the past are coming back to haunt more than one resident and threaten present day situations. That’s why I enjoy reading the adventures of this little lady! There are missing corpses, empty graves, as well as money involved and of course Granny can’t stay put and do as Franklin her husband to be wishes she would. Let’s hope the romance doesn’t fade. This old gal has plenty of spunk and spark left in her, so anyone who intends on committing a crime in her neck of the woods better be prepared to face a snow mobile chase and a pink shovel! I love Granny and her snooping ways. Add in a fashion parade, the other colorful residents of Fuchsia and her lovable furry friends and kids who are all looking out for her and you’re guaranteed to have a smile on your face. A toast of the Pink bubbly to Julie Seedorf and Granny, too! Yours truly can’t wait for the next one.

CUCKOO CLOCK CAPER  by Joyce Oroz – Let me introduce to you two laid back CuckooFCkindle_1California gals of the current era: first is the main character of this fabulous tale Josephine Stuart who is a talented mural artist and amateur sleuth. Until next week, dear friends!
